What is Selective Hearing?

Our new name, Selective Hearing originates from the intentional play on words that someone may experience gaps in the range of sounds they hear.

Selective Hearing also refers to the discerning attitude that one should have about their hearing care. From rock concerts, to work, to even genetic problems—hearing troubles can affect all of us.  The problem is, most people don’t realize or want to admit that they may have trouble hearing. It’s the mindset that says, “I can hear just fine … I just can’t understand what anyone’s saying!”

So why should this even be an issue? Well, the reason is our tagline: “Because it matters how well you hear.”

Selective Hearing exists to serve South Louisiana in the discovery of available hearing solutions. We understand that our patients want listening instruments that are rich in technology and visually discreet, and we hear them loud and clear.
